Gary Eichen

Gary has been an instructor for in person classes for the Michigan Green Industry Association for 20 years. He is currently the service line director for SavATree in Troy Michigan.

His credentials an accomplishments include:

  • ISA Certified Arborist
  • Tree Care Industry Association Member
  • MGIA Member of the Year
  • Accredited Trainer with the Michigan Department of Agriculture
  • Member of the Technical Advisory Committee for the Healthy Lawn Care Program for Watershed Protection

Tom Bergschwenger

Tom has been an instructor for many years for the Michigan Green Industry Association.  He has over 30 years of lawn and tree care experience and currently operates his company, Natural Approach, in southeast Michigan

His credentials and accomplishments include:

  • Accredited Trainer with the Michigan Department of Agriculture
  • Member of the Technical Advisory Committee for the Healthy Lawn Care Program for Watershed Protection

Austin Douglas

Austin is an instructor for in person trainings with the Michigan Green Industry Association.  He owns and operates Ditch The Itch - Poison Ivy & Mosquito Control Services in Goodrich Michigan.  His specialty in the green industry has been remediation of noxious and invasive plants. mosquito management, and plant health care.

His credentials and accomplishments include:

  • ISA Certified Arborist
  • ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified
  • ISA Michigan Oak Wilt Qualified
  • TCIA Qualified Plant Health Care Technician
  • TCIA Tree Care Specialist
  • Certified Trainer for Registered Applicators through the Michigan Department of Agriculture
